Candidate Rights & Employment Screening

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This page describes ways to ask about information submitted to the HIRE USA candidate portal and summarizes screening steps that may apply when a consumer report is obtained from a consumer reporting agency (CRA).

Your application information

You may contact us to ask what information you submitted through this portal, request correction of information that is inaccurate, or request deletion of your submission and uploaded document. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding. Requests are subject to applicable law and any recordkeeping obligations that apply to the application or screening process.

Consumer reports and the FCRA

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) applies to consumer reports prepared by a CRA for purposes such as employment screening. Uploading a document through this portal is separate from any request HIRE USA may make to a CRA. A request for a CRA report is handled through a separate disclosure and authorization process; the general privacy consent on this portal is not authorization to obtain a consumer report.

If a consumer report from a CRA may be used in whole or in part for an adverse employment decision, the FCRA process includes providing required notices and information, including a copy of the report and a Summary of Your Rights before a final adverse action, and an adverse-action notice if the decision proceeds. You may dispute inaccurate or incomplete information with the CRA that prepared the report. State or local law may provide additional rights.

How to contact us

For a request about portal information, contact support@hire-usa.online. Include your name and submission reference if available, but do not email your date of birth, full credit report, or other sensitive documents. If your question concerns information in a consumer report, contact the CRA identified in the separate screening notices to dispute the report directly.
